As "Clarence"
Preston Kirk earned drama and journalism degrees at Baylor University, taking the editorial and PR route for three decades before returning to the stage in 2000 and getting into films in 2003 ("Alamo"). Although he's covered space shots, serial killings and presidential campaign swings for United Press International and was a founding editor of Houston Business Journal, Texas Business Magazine and Dollar Dynamics newsletter, he still finds acting singularly exciting and fulfilling. The Spicewood, TX resident has appeared in 20+ productions on seven area stages and worked on 27 films (lead, supporting, bit player, extra). Most recently, he was in scenes with Harry Connick Jr., Kris Kristofferson, Sarah Hickman, Marcia Ball, Rob Schneider and Turk Pipkin for When Angels Sing. The consultant-journalist-poet also has worked on five TV series and appeared in local and national commercials video, web, print and greenscreen participating in a commercial for Russell Athletic in Smithville in July.
