Mark was born in Kolby, Kansas and his parents promptly moved to Texas eight months later. Mark considers himself a Texan to the core. Mark comes from a large family and is the youngest of five boys. He has 22 nephews and nieces. His family means the world to him.
Mark graduated from Sherman High School and went to college at Notre Dame for a year before transferring to U.T. Austin where he received a B.S. in Radio Television and Film. In 2007, Mark went back to U.T. to pursue his interest in front of the camera.
